Har Ki Dun, also known as the "Valley of Gods," is one of the most enchanting treks in the Garhwal Himalayas, Uttarakhand. Nestled at an altitude of 3,566 meters, this beautiful valley offers panoramic views of majestic peaks, lush meadows, alpine forests, and sparkling rivers. Known for its ancient culture and captivating landscapes, Har Ki Dun provides trekkers with an experience that combines nature’s beauty with cultural insights. - Start/End Point: Sankri Village
Day 1: Arrival in Sankri (Drive from Dehradun, 210 km)
- Arrive at Dehradun in the morning and proceed with a scenic drive to Sankri village (around 8 hours).
- Check-in to your guest house or homestay and rest for the night.
- Altitude: 6,400 feet
Day 2: Sankri to Taluka and Trek to Seema (Drive + Trek)
- Drive from Sankri to Taluka (10 km).
- Start trekking from Taluka to Seema, following the Supin River through lush forests and picturesque villages.
- Trek Distance: 12 km (6–7 hours)
- Overnight stay in tents at Seema.
- Altitude: 8,202 feet
Day 3: Seema to Har Ki Dun Valley
- Trek from Seema to Har Ki Dun, enjoying views of lush meadows, waterfalls, and towering peaks like Swargarohini.
- Trek Distance: 11 km (5–6 hours)
- Overnight stay in tents at Har Ki Dun Valley.
- Altitude: 11,700 feet
Day 4: Explore Har Ki Dun Valley (Acclimatization and Exploration Day)
- A day to explore the valley, visit nearby points like Jaundhar Glacier, and enjoy the stunning views.
- Interact with the locals or explore local flora and fauna.
- Overnight stay in tents.
Day 5: Har Ki Dun to Seema (Return Trek)
- Start descending back from Har Ki Dun to Seema, retracing your route.
- Trek Distance: 11 km (4–5 hours)
- Overnight stay in tents at Seema.
Day 6: Seema to Taluka and Drive to Sankri (Trek + Drive)
- Trek from Seema to Taluka and drive back to Sankri.
- Trek Distance: 12 km (4–5 hours)
- Check in to guest house in Sankri for the night.
Day 7: Return to Dehradun
- Early morning drive back to Dehradun (210 km, around 8 hours).
- Expected arrival in Dehradun by late afternoon.
